Arizona System Integrity Mechanism

On July 9, 2025, pursuant to Decision No. 81413 , the Arizona Corporation Commission approved the Company’s request for a capital tracker, the System Integrity Mechanism (SIM). The SIM will enhance natural gas pipeline safety in Arizona by enabling Southwest Gas to more timely recover its investments in safety-related pipe replacement in the State through an annual surcharge.

2025 SIM Filing

On August 13, 2025, Southwest Gas filed a Notice of Intent to file an application to set the annual SIM Surcharge. The Notice of Intent includes Southwest Gas’ 2025 SIM Project Plan, which outlines the safety-related pipeline replacement projects scheduled to be completed in 2025 that will be included for recovery in the SIM surcharge.

Southwest Gas will hold a public stakeholder meeting to provide information related to its 2025 SIM Project Plan on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in person at the Company’s office, located at 1600 E. Northern Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85020, or virtually via Microsoft Teams. Southwest Gas invites stakeholders interested in participating virtually to RSVP by contacting regulation@swgas.com by August 14, 2025.
